How do you do?
My name is Shinobu Kitagawa.
I come from Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, and now I am living in
Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

About the theme.
Though my themes are avaricious ones such as Buddhist images, four
seasons of Japan, and streets of Koga, I intend to challenging anything at
the moment.
Hobbies should be dealt with patiently!
I carved a few works when I started the wood block printing, but these
days I carve only one work or two a year with my pace of production
slowed down.
I consider that it's one of my hobbies to be tackled patiently with my
own pace, expecting a plain but lengthy commitment.
Though I wouldn't be able to finish one if I go too slow.
Luckily to say, an exhibition of my colleagues of woodblock printing
(Koyukai) is held once a year in autumn, I am carving works with the
said exhibition as a target.
After all, it's the autumn of the art, isn't it?
Aren't there a lot scheduled including the collection book?
Indeed there are! Since I am busy at the moment, I will
follow my own pace.
My worries on the sizes of the printed pictures.
So far I sticked to 3-3 size (320x450), but I would like to challenge the
whole sheet size (400x580), MO size. However, if the size is too big, it
would be difficult to display it in the house.
I used to give them away as my presents on requests of other persons,
but too big ones would prevent me from doing so.
That's what worries me.

Photographs
Negatives produced by a camera are converted into a Photo CD (Compact Disk).
The procedure was requested to Sakuraya in Omiya.
Prices are:

As a flash was used for photo taking, shadows of incoming light
were printed as well.
The Buddhist images got something like nimbus and incoming of
light has just made appropriate photos.
The digital camera is very convenient.
The photograph can be registered in the homepage at once.

The entire construction.
I simply made two hierarchies.
Top page
Generally, 2 or 3 screens will constitute the top page.
But top pages are most important for home pages, so I inserted
the main materials making them smaller sizes.
Screen scrolling is quicker and easier to see than clicking buttons.
I myself sometimes don't click buttons according to the impressions of
top pages.
As for the background of the screen, I selected white for top pages and
black for collection of works.
That's a simple way. Simplicity is the best, I should say.
